On Tuesday, we will be having our annual costume parade around the school. The parade will begin at 9:15. We will also be celebrating with several fun educational activities throughout the day and will conclude our day with a class party from 2:00-3:00. We will have several fun, festive stations set up around the room that we will rotate through. I would love a few parent volunteers to help make sure our stations run smoothly. If you are available to help out during this time please let me know at your earliest convenience. Just shoot me an e-mail or Dojo message and I'll put you down. Also, if you would like to send in a healthy snack for the students to enjoy please feel free to do so. We do have a peanut allergy so please try to send in a nut free snack.
This week we will be participating in Red Ribbon week. Each day there will be different school wide festivities. Tomorrow theme is "stuff yourself with love instead of unhealthy things". Your child may bring a small sized stuffed animal to school to celebrate. It should be small enough to fit in their cubby. Tuesday's theme is is "Go crazy with your costume for Halloween, not with unhealthy choices" so we will be wearing costumes, Wednesday's theme is "Be comfortable with yourself, naturally, not unnaturally" and we will be having a PJ day, Thursday's theme is " Your future is key, make healthy choices." For this day your child should wear a key to school (real or paper tied on a string). We will conclude the week with " Feel great about life through doing what you love." Children should wear something that represents what they love to do in life (i.e. baseball gear, dancing clothes, etc.).
Finally, if you did not get a chance to fill out the class contact form and would like me to add you to the contact list please let me know. I will be printing a new list at the end of the week as there were a few families that were not listed on the original form that expressed interest at conferences.
