This week we start our state testing. We will be testing several days each week for the next three weeks. This week we will be testing on Tuesday. Please do your best to ensure that your child gets a solid nights rest and has a big breakfast. Please encourage them to do their best but remind them not to be worried about it to ease any testing anxiety they may have.
We will be going to the Community Arts Center this Wednesday to watch the production of the Secret Garden. If you volunteered to drive on your child's permission slip I have you down as driving on this trip, please let me know if your plans have changed and you are no longer available. The play will be from 11-12. Although we will be eating lunch back at school your child should still bring a cold lunch from home with them on this day as we may not be back in time for hot lunch.
Mark your calendars! We have finally secured a date for our downtown Truckee History field trip thanks to Mr. Rae. We will be visiting the old Truckee Jail and touring downtown on Tuesday, June 5th. More information and a permission slip will come home as we get closer to the date of the trip but I wanted to get the date out to you as I know many of you are looking forward to attending this popular trip.
Finally, as we are quickly approaching the end of the year I wanted to remind you all to be practicing those multiplication and division facts at home. Fluently multiplying and dividing is one of our third grade end of year expectations and many students have not yet mastered their facts. In class we use an online program called Mobymax to practice our facts. This website can be accessed from home anytime for additional practice. A link to Mobymax can be found on the student page of this website. Your child should know their log in information. Please let me know if you have any questions.
As always, have a great week!
